Privacy Policy

Backlinks Outreach (backlinksoutreach.com) is a price-comparison service for guest posts and sponsored content. We gather listings from third-party marketplaces through partner APIs so you can compare sellers, organise sites into projects and lists, and click through to buy on the marketplace.

For the personal data described in this policy, Backlinks Outreach is the data controller. Purchases themselves happen on the marketplaces, which handle your data under their own privacy policies.

We collect only what we need to run the service:

• Account data. Your email address, and optionally your name, profile picture, role or persona and phone number. If you sign in with Google, we store the identifiers and tokens Google issues to link your account.
• Workspace data. The projects you create (including target URLs), saved filters and searches, sites saved to lists, your notes, order status, prices paid and published URLs, bulk domain search inputs and results, and export history.
• Usage data. Counts of the actions your plan limits (such as searches and exports), so we can apply those limits.
• Click-outs. When you click through to a marketplace, we record which offer and domain you chose, the time, and your account ID if you are signed in.
• Billing data. Your plan, subscription status and billing period, and the Stripe customer ID that links your account to Stripe. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe.
• Technical data. Standard server logs our hosting providers keep, such as IP address, browser type, requested pages and timestamps, used for security and troubleshooting.
• Cookies and local storage. Essential session cookies keep you signed in and protect sign-in requests. Your browser's local storage remembers your light or dark theme and briefly holds a note about a site you just clicked out to buy, so we can ask whether you ordered it when you return. That note is cleared after it is shown or after three days. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

• To create and secure your account and sign you in.
• To provide the service: search, projects, lists, bulk search and CSV/XLSX exports.
• To process payments and manage your subscription and limits.
• To understand which marketplaces and offers are useful, and to measure referrals to our partners.
• To send essential service emails, such as sign-in links. Payment receipts and billing emails are sent by Stripe.
• To prevent abuse, enforce our Terms, and meet legal obligations.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, we rely on the following legal bases:

• Contract — to provide the account, features and subscription you signed up for.
• Legitimate interests — to keep the service secure, prevent abuse, measure click-outs and improve the product, in ways that do not override your rights.
• Legal obligation — to keep billing and tax records.
• Consent — if we ever ask for it, for example for optional emails. You can withdraw consent at any time.

We do not sell your personal data or share it for targeted advertising. We share data only with service providers that help us run Backlinks Outreach, under contracts that limit how they can use it:

• Stripe — Payment processing, subscriptions and invoicing. Stripe collects your card details directly; we never see or store full card numbers.
• Resend — Delivery of sign-in (magic link) emails.
• Google — Optional sign-in with Google OAuth. Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us when you choose this option.
• Cloud hosting and database providers — Hosting the application and our PostgreSQL database.
• Marketplace partners — FatGrid, INSERT.LINK, Linkavista, Links.me, Linkuma, Meup and Nautilinks receive your visit only when you click out to buy on their site. The link may include referral or UTM parameters identifying us as the source. We do not send them your name or email address.

We may also disclose data if required by law, to protect our rights or users, or as part of a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your data.

Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where data leaves the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an applicable adequacy decision.

• Account and workspace data are kept while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete this data, except where we must keep it longer by law.
• Export files are generated on request and downloaded straight to your device. We do not store the files, only a record of each export (format, row count and date).
• Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting laws require.
• Server logs and click-out records are kept only as long as needed for security, troubleshooting and partner reporting, and are anonymised or deleted when no longer needed.

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and keep marketplace and payment credentials on the server only. Passwordless sign-in means we never store a password for you. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep access to your email and Google account safe, and tell us at privacy@backlinksoutreach.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

Depending on where you live, you can:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data. You can edit your name, phone number and role on your Account page; for anything else, email us.
• Delete your account and data by emailing us.
• Export a copy of your data in a portable format by emailing us.
• Object to or restrict processing based on legitimate interests.
• Complain to your local data protection authority.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

To make any of these requests, including account deletion or a data export, email privacy@backlinksoutreach.com from the address on your account. We may need to verify your identity and will respond within 30 days.

Backlinks Outreach is a professional tool and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy as the product or the law changes. We will update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the app before they take effect.
